Two photographs of Henry are herewith enclosed, one a three-quarter face, the other a profile. A profile head made up, if desirable, of the two, is what I should prefer. A photograph of the seal is added.

The seal, the lettering on which was arranged by Mr. St. Gaudens, was intended to serve at the same time as the obverse of the medal. In regard to this, however, I should be glad to have you express an opinion.

I am, you see, counting a great deal on your tolerance of my suggestions in the matter, but if you will kindly meet them in this instance, I shall hope to give you little further trouble before accepting the definitive design.

Very truly yours,

S.P. Langley
Secretary.
