CAROLYN S. OLSON -- A native of Duluth, MN, received her BFA in painting and graphics from Bethel College in 1980. From 1980-1982, she was art director for Voice of Calvary Ministries in Jackson, MS. In 1983, she taught art fundamentals for gifted students in the Jackson public school system in cooperation with the Mississippi Museum of Art and taught drawing at the Chimneyville Craftsman Guild on Milsaps College campus.

Since 1983, she has worked as a freelance graphics designer and artist, including her work as art director for the Duluth Transit Authority in 1985. In late 1985, Carolyn established Aurora Designs, a Duluth based graphic design and illustration company. Her work includes the 1986 John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon limited edition poster.

Carolyn's two- and three- dimensional work has been exhibited nationally, including Landmark Center in Jackson, MS and WARM Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.

From 1986 on, she has been responsible for curating exhibitions at the Emporium in Duluth, MN and soliciting artists for Artist Portfolio -- a public slide reviewal in Duluth's skywalk. Carolyn currently maintains her studio in the Corner of the Lake Building in downtown Duluth.
