Mr. Lawrence A. Fleischman
19480 Burlington Drive
Detroit 3, Michigan

Dear Mr. Fleischman:

Dr. Scott has asked me to express his thanks along with mine for your generous reply to his request to borrow Summer Twilight as well as Television to our Stuart Davis Memorial Exhibition.

We are grateful to know that both works will be in the exhibition, and doubly so for your thoughtfulness in returning the Summer Twilight loan form and negative so quickly that we have been able to get the necessary material to our printer in time. Your negative is enclosed along with an extra print we had made from it which may be of use to you.

I should like to repeat that our understanding from the loan form is that Television will be shipped from, and returned to, 19655 Grand River Avenue, Detroit, while Summer Twilight is to come from the Detroit Institute of Arts (which is lending a painting from its collection to the exhibition) and should be returned to 19480 Burlington Drive, Detroit. We shall assume our understanding is correct unless you should inform us otherwise.

Again, may I thank you for your help in our plans for this major exhibition.

Sincerely yours,
Harry Lowe
