PROCEDURES FOR SHIPPING WORKS OF ART LENT FOR SPECIAL EXHIBITION 

The National Collection of Fine Arts assumes full responsibility for crating, packing, and shipping charges incurred in the delivery of loans it has requested that certain billing procedures be observed to facilitate payment of charges.

1. The shipping agent should be requested to carry shipment collect, on commercial bill of lading for conversion to Government Bill of Lading upon delivery.  

2. Crating and/or packing charges must not be included with the collect transportation charge. They should be billed at a later date either by the shipping agent or the lender. Please present any billing statement in triplicate.
