Salem Ala Dear Sir: I have forwarded, this day, to your address, by Southern Express Company whose receipt is transmitted herewith, seventy three dollars and seventy five cents. ($73.75) less exchange on mobile at 1/4 of one percent; the same being the account of your salon for the month November 1866.- Our payments are now made with drafts on the depository of the United States at Mobile Ala: Thinking that I could get the draft cashed in this city at better rates than you can in Salem, I have taken the liberty to send you the money instead of the Draft. If, however, you would prefer the draft, in future, please advise me before next payment.- Please return usual receipts. Very respectfully Your obedient servant C.W.
