Dear Sir:
Enclosed please find Draft on U. S. Depository drawn in good favor for one hundred thirty seven dollars and fifty cents ($137 50/100, the same being for rent due you for the month of February, 1867.
I have to offer for the delay in making this payment that our pay master has been absent for nearly a month.
By this mail I forward Vouchers for your signature for the March payment. after you have signed them please get the approval of Maj Tracy, whose office is near you, and then return to my office as formerly. I think your espenses will warrant me in stating that you get your pay more promptly when it comes direct from this office.
