Common brick and Lumber do not vary much from Chicago prices. the plain work will be less expensive here. While skillful work men are very scarce, and nice work costs more. The lot is square 3 1/2 acres lies south of city with streets on all sides. principle street on East Side highest ground near centre of lot north and south, but near east side surface decends quite rapidly towards west; gradualy towards the north and Slightly towards the south I have tried to make myself understood and the situation plain that you may see what we need We have no artchitects here with much School house experience, and being from Boone Co Ill. I prefer an Illinois loyal man
Please let me Know at your earliest convenience the expense of plans and specifications for our house and what instructions you may wish to give, but do not forget that we are poor
