Dear Sir
Upon the receipt of your communication of May 1st 1868 I wrote Mr Buckley late Supt. Education enclosing your letter requesting his endorsement thereon and forwarded the whole correspondence to Washington.
The result is promise of return transportation for Mr. and Mrs C R Wheeler, Miss Julia Wanzer, Mrs H F Tradewell, Miss E L Burton, and Wm P M Gilbert.
I cannot file and return the application for all as yet not knowing to what points they wish to go.
Miss Burton has already gone and it is very doubtful whether Mr and Mrs Wheeler can remain to avail themselves of this transportation. If they cannot shall I request transportation to be used by others.
Very Respectfully
Henry M. Bush
