Rev. Dr. Rust

Dear Sir
On my way south I arrived at Cincinnati one day to have an interview with you addressing school matters in Alabama. I was informed that you were absent at Conferences.
We wish, at an early day, to erect a School Building at Huntsville, Ala. Through Mr. Lake I learned that your association would be willing to aid in this work.
I now write you, therefore, to ascertain definitely on what terms & to what extent your society w'd. be willing to assist in the erection of a Building for School purposes at Huntsville.
I am warranted to say that the Bureau will contribute at least ($3000) three thousand dollars toward the erection.
An early reply will be a favor as we desire to commence the building immediately if possible. Send us all the teachers you can. The State will pay a part of the expenses of sustaining them.
Yours truly
R D Harper
Supt of Education.
