The school at Talladega seems to be, and in fact is tending toward denominationalism under supervision of Rev H E Brown; its influence being to further the interest of the Congregational Church; they having organized a church in connection with the school and this has been done while Govt has been assisting them, wholly with the understanding of establishing a normal School for the education of teachers for the colored people of this state
