Respectfully returned to Brt Lt Col E Beecher Asst Com'r. Mr Grover taught a colored school of 35 scholars in Calhoun last year and was compelled to discontinue the school because the patrons failed to pay him. It is very evident that the parties applying for the School; also with a view to their room benefit, in the sale of merchandise, by the attraction this held to colored people.
