March 14th 1868  6 | Hart John A L. L.S. 43. | Greenville March 13th 1868  Requests pay for teaching during month of September 1867.  Was not actually engaged in teaching but was assured by Mr. Buckley late Supt Education B R F & A.L. that he should receive pay up to the day he was notified that his services would no longer be needed. 

March 30" 1868  7 | Hart John A.  E&M 26. | Greenville Ala. March 17th 1868  States that he was employed as teacher by Supt. Buckley, lost much time &c and is now unable to get his pay for September 1867 without explicit instruction from Washington. Encloses vouchers & asks Mr. Alvords assistance.

Apr. 15th 1868  11 | Harrington M Maria.  L.S. 70 | Decatur, Ala. Apr. 1868  Asks in regard to vouchers for transportation sent in Febry last  Their school is very much in need of funds and she expects to donate this amt, 

Apr 18th 1868  12 | Hindman M  E and M. 39 | Huntsville Ala. Apr 15th 1868  States that she needs and wishes to know if Bureau can furnish six black boards and fifty desks

Apr. 2th 1868  13. | Harrington M Maria.  L.S. 70 | Decatur Ala  Apr 15th 1868  Acknowledged receipt five 30/100 Dollars balance due on transportation. Filed No. 17 M.R.

May 1st 1868  14 | Hart, John A.  L.S. 43. E&M. 26.  L.R. H.6. | Greenville, Ala. Apr 29th 1868 Transmits vouchers for his services as Teacher of col'd school in month of September 1867. States that he will accept the local fund on hand as payment in full for his services.
