much by way of assistance as last year, and more if the new law will allow of it.

The Northern Educational Associations will probably do less, and hence local patronage, State and individual, is so much relied on.

We hope it will not be long before Alabama has a public free school system, and is able actually to accomplish all which her uneducated population demands.

Allow me to say that the vigorous way that you have commenced operations in the State is quite satisfactory, and we hope you will be able to mature, and effect all your well laid plans.
