I have the honor to state Wm McCoo colored, in behalf of the freed people of Glennville Barbour Co. Ala. states that since their school house was burned, they have not been able to procure a suitable building to teach in, and that their school consisting of about 200 scholars has since the destruction of their schoolhouse, been compelled to assemble out of doors.

He further states that they have succeeded in raising $300, and asks for $600 more to enable them to purchase a lot, and rebuild  a schoolhouse suitable to their purposes.
