Rev. R.D. Harper
Supt. Ed. Montgomery Ala.

Dear Sir
Your favors of the 6th & 8th inst are at hand. You have heard from our Superintendent before this. Two or three other teachers will report next week. The schools can then open at once. We will have the number requested six on the ground soon. Some teachers have been assigned to Montgomery from New York and so I think six had been assigned and transportation received to Montgomery before you gave the names of the teachers. It will be absolutely essential that some of the relief fund come by the 1st of Jan to keep up the boarding expenses of the teachers. The teachers go to Athens Ala this week. We wish to bring that school under the state.

Most Truly Yours
E.M. Cravath sec.
