I am at present practising [[practicing]] medicine in my native town Woburn Mass and if you wish can bring testimonials from those who have known me for life, in this town.

I enclose letter from one of the boys I fitted for college, who referred me to you. I anticipated going to Omaha when I wrote him. Please return Elliot's letter. I am a temperance man.

I have had a large experience with freedmen having been ordered over two years to attend them in Camp & Hospital.

Please answer immediately, as I am now prepared to enter upon duty at once.

Hoping you may find a vacancy for me, even at the lowest rate of compensation.

I remain,

Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant
George O. Dalton
