Respectfully returned to Mr. R.D. Harper Supt of Education with the information that E. S. Groves, who is now in charge of Col'd schools at this place, and was engaged by Capt. Buckley, Supt. of Education to teach a Col'd school at Calhoun last year and taught during the month of August as claimed. He is a man of (over) undoubted loyalty, and greatly in need of the money he has faithfully earned.
