I have the honor herewith to transmit Vouchers for my salary ($50.) for the month of August 1867.
I was engaged to teach school by Capt. G.W. Buckley Supt. of Education April 1st 1867, and continued my school until the 3rd day of Sept when I was taken sick. About two weeks afterward I went to Montgomery on business, and while there rec'd from Capt. Buckley my salary for July. He told me he would pay me for August then, but the Disbursing Office had no money at hand.
Enclosed you will please find two letters from Capt. "B" dated respectively, July 1st + Aug. 24th 1867. I rec'd no letter or order in the interval between these two letters that my salary was stopped, and I taught on fully expecting to receive my pay for all the time I was engaged. 
I am greatly in need of my money, and I would respectfully ask that the account
