Dear Sir:
I am in receipt of your letter 26th inst 1867, pertaining to the continuance of your school.

In reply I have to state that your school will continue as usual after the first of October; with this exception, however we shall look to the colored people to bear about fifty per cent of the expenses of its support.

I am, in planning our work for the ensuing year, seeking to give you a place of more importance than the one now occupied by you.

Respectfully
Your obdt servant
C. W. Buckley
Superintendent Education
