The accompanying sketch will give you a very unexpected idea of the appearance of the building but will show you somewhat the four. The arrangement of the upper story is the same as the lower, except that A & A in the upper story are small rooms 10 x 10 in the clear, suitable for library etc, or may answer for recitation rooms.

As given in the book, there is a basement story 8ft in the clear and 4 ft underground, but in our locality this would not be admissible. Such a building costs in Michigan about $6000. As we would omit the basement referred to and also could defer the plastering until a better day. We might expect to build such a house for, perhaps about $6000.

The book in question gives the specifications for the building which we can adapt to our case. If I could see you I could explain more fully. But as the plan has been tested North, in several instances, and is adapted to our means I respect, fully suggest it as appropriate for our Case.

I am very Respectfully yours
J Silsby
