Montgomery Alabama
Dear Sir
I am very glad to inform you that I am at home today. I reached this place Tuesday last found all well except my wife. She was suffering a little from the blow she got from one of those midnight robbers that tried to kill me and steal what money I had. Many think that money was what they was after they knew that the government had employed me ever since the surrender first to teach school second register. No one but robbers would have robbed my house as they did.) please do all you can in the way of paying me for my last months teaching at Carollton for June 67. Very Respectfully Allen A. Williams
