Eufaula, nothing would delight me better.

And now, Dear Friend, (for although I've met you but once I can't help calling you so) please write me as to what's to be done. Have you heard from Genl. Howard concerning the Bureau, employing teachers when all other help fails?

Miss Sarah A. Jenness, who has taught most successfully for some three years in the Savannah school, with the exception of the four months she spent in assisting my wife & me in the Eufaula school, and who is second to no female teacher that ever came South, can come out with Mrs. W. & assist in teaching here the coming year. If a direct appeal is at once made to Genl Howard in behalf of the Eufaula School, will he not cause that these two women be sent here right away, and also that I may be employed with them on leaving the Bureau?

If there are no very, very big stones in your vicinity, please dont leave one single one of them unturned but you'll bring all this to pass. Mayn't I depend upon it?

We got our lumber for the building for $13.00 pr M, which will be delivered here.
