Sub. Dist. of Demopolis
Bureau R.F. & A.L.
Demopolis Oct 29, 1868

H.M. Bush Esq

Sir
In referring to me a letter written by Thos H. Crevit of Newburn, Hale Co. to Dr Harper [R.D. Harper - probably] of Montgomery, you endorses thereon that I was authorized to rent school houses.

Am I to understand this as a general instruction to hire school houses any where within my District till the Bureau terminates the first of January next? If so I propose to hire of private Trustees, at $15. a month a school house for colored in this city; with the understanding that the money so received shall be applied to the reduction of the tuition bills; &, when the State authorites get into funds, make it a free school altogether. I should like to make some such arrangement on a smaller scale at Livingston, Greensboro, & Eutaw, and perhaps Butler & Linden

Yours Respectfully
R. A Wilson
