Mr. R.A. Wilson,

Dear Sir,
We wish to open a School for the freedmen in this place, (Greensboro) on next Monday. We have rented a building sufficient to accommodate 125 pupils with three teachers. The rent will cost $30.00 per month, and we want $100.00 immediately for benches desks repair &c. How can this money be had from the Freedman's Bureau? Should the School fund of the State not be sufficient to pay the teachers; can anything be obtained from the Bureau or the Aid Societies, for the payment of deficiencies in the teacher's salaries? Please answer by return mail.

Respectfully
M. H. Yerby
Supt. Ed. Hale Co.
