Under the Consolidated Commission, with the history of which I suppose you have been made acquainted, it has been agreed to divide the field into two Departments, Eastern and Western, each Department having a Genl Secretary, and each local branch having its own local Secretary. This for convenience, economy, and efficiency. Rev John M. Walden, DD. 25 Lombard Block, Chicago is Secretary of the Western Dep't, and Miss Maria A.
