Sir;
I have the honor to transmit herewith my Report of a School taught by Thomas J. Campbell at Decatur Alabama, during the Month of October, 1866.
Mr Campbell was not aware that it was necessary to make any report of his school, consequently his report did not reach me in time to go in my consolidated report for October, thinking I would include it in my report for November I filed it for that purpose but through the negligence of my clerk it was omitted.
This school was organized with the intention of continuing three month, but Mr Campbell, the teacher was compelled to close it at the end of the first Month owing to the very low wages authorized. I have this day enclosed vouchers for the month services to Col. Edwin Beecher, Please notify him that you have received the report.

I am sir very respectfully, &c
