Perhaps I ought not to say they will not exchange. I have not tried them.

May I request a favor? Will you please call upon Mr H Thompson 50 per week and ascertain how many papers he can sell for us, and also how many S Derry can sell?

Please also send any facts you may learn in relation to freedmen. But I am requesting too many things of you, as you are very busy

My family are with me now having reached this place and the 26th ult. We shall be happy to see you at our house whenever you can call. Apropos to this we have some good young ladies here now just from the North.

Excuse haste
Very Respectfully
& truly yours
J Silsby

Transcription Notes:
Is the first sentence - Perhaps I ought to say they will not exchange. So the word 'until' could be 'will' with a 't' inserted accidentally.
