But as there are bad people every where, we suppose some such one has perpetrated this cruel wrong. Mr. Mitchell our Supt. has the confidence of our association & of the association at Philad. being Supt. for us both. He is very much discouraged by this occurrence. If we had ample funds I think our association would resolve to do right on & rebuild, but we are cramped. With the help of the Bureau as stated in my appeal to Gen. Swayne we can make the attempt & do our best.
