Dear Sir,
Mr Branch has gone to Mobile and will report to the Commissioner and to you what this Society can undertake there. When here it was his opinion that the Schools there could be made very nearly if not quite self-supporting & favored their being under the supervision of the freedmen themselves as far as may be practicable.
