Dear Brother, Your letter to Rev. Dr. Rust is before me. We hope to be able to occupy one if not both of the places you name in Eastern Alabama. I write by this mail to Rev J.H. Caldwell, La Grange Ga. (which is not far from West Point) to give these places his attention. You will appreciate our reasons for wishing to locate our Teachers with reference to our Mission work, especially as they are our stay in Sunday Schools.
Rev. J.B.F. Hill is organizing a work in Western Alabama and will probably ask us for Teachers and we hope to aid him. Bro. Hill's address in Eutaw. I think he will write you. I thank you for your cordial offer to aid our work
Yours Truly J.M. Walden
