Dear Sir;
We are in receipt of your letter of the 28th, also "Transportation Accounts" and as an early acknowledgement is desired, I write for Mr Adams, he having found it necessary to give himself to work upon the new building- hoping if possible to occupy it next week- with our old benches, and thus avoid paying rent longer for the "Dead-house".
We are very grateful for the pleasant anticipation of your"possible" presence, and that of Gen. Swayne - at our dedication, and will inform you of the time as soon as it can be determined- which will depend upon the seating and other conveniences being finished, as we want those dedicated too-
