Mr. C. W. Buckley:
Supt. of Education.
Montgomery Ala.

Dear Sir,
A Mr. Boyle desires to teach about ten miles north east of this place. He is about twenty five years old, & a fair representation of the yeomanry of northern Alabama. His education is quite limited, still, he has taught school & I think he will do well.
The people can pay little or nothing, being so very poor; they are anxious to have a school and will build a school-house. Mr. Boyle will teach for thirty dollars from the Government. Shall I supply him? He wants to commence immediately
Very respectfully,
Chas C. Arms.
