Capt C.W. Buckley

Dear Sir
I would again ask for what is due me for Teaching Col'd School at this place & in order that you may see my condition I will state that my having taught a Col'd School taken in connection with my affilliating with the Republican party had rendered me rather unpopular with the most of the white people of this county & consequently cant get imployment What means I have are in the hands of others & they show no disposition to pay me & the Stay law now in force makes them more indiferent. I am now without money & nearly out of provisions I learn you are paying others Why cant I be paid
