Dear Sir:
I came here to fill me regular appt & find the school prospering Yesterday (Sunday morning) though it rained we had over 120 at school. Our teacher Mr Edmundson is doing very well & I think will do a great deal of good. I would not recommend the payment of any thing for improvement on the lot unless it can be made for the permanent advantage of the freedmen. Mr Reece asks $1000 for his house & lot. I can get the one adjoining it for less that $400 situated on higher ground, half acre, with better
