Says state of Treasury is such that it is impossible to push forward the work of education as vigorously as could be desired. Funds have been provided for Talladega purchase at $8000 dollars, Mr. Sierly will superintend building of house at Selma. For Montgomery Marion funds will be ready by June. Mr. Shepherd will superintend affairs at Mobile.
