Demopolis Alabama April 2nd 1867 Capt. C. W. Buckley Supt. Education Montgomery Ala [[stamp]] The National Archives of the United States [[/stamp]] Dear Sir Your favor of 27th ult is at hand. It was sufficiently explicit upon all points save, whether you wish me to receive & forward Reports, or whether you wish them forwarded direct to you with their vouchers. Enclosed please find Report of Schools. Also vouchers for Mr J. W. McCann, Daniel Price, and Miss Cecil. Mrs McCann's & Mr May's I was under the necessity of returning for correction Mr Price of Livingston informs me that his assistant, Julius Hill (colored) received vouchers from you for $60 per month. $30 is the amount agreed upon.
