As I have so often written To Mr. Buckley & as often got no reply, I Concluded to write you and ask you to see him for me in regard to the Labors of my son William, who has been with me something over 4 months, but say 4 months. And as Rev. I. H. Caldwell reckommended Him as my assistant, we have lived in Good Hope up to the present that he would Get some pay, he is not worth one dollar And has served faithful all the time & I do think he ought to have something for Time & faithful labor. Pleas talk this matter over & send me word what he may depend upon. I think if you will Consult J. H. Caldwell Chalfant of Atlanta, & many others both white & Colored of this place, you will think as I do in that matter.  Now do consider
