Dear Sir
In accordance with your instructions, I have located ten schools for Freedmen in my County and appointed Teachers for said schools This has been accomplished through the influence and cordial cooperation of the Hon. N.D. Brooks.

Since I made my first report, I have spent my whole time in locating schools in place of those that failed, in selecting proper persons to teach; in inducing order in the schools established, in instructing teachers in the art of teaching and in producing competition Among the scholars and among the teachers. All are now prosperous - 

Ten or twelve schools are still required in this County.

Of the aforesaid schools the following is a statement of the Location, Name of Teachers and Name of pupils present at the time of my last visit.
