Eve to meet a lady whom you had sent to assist me in my duties. From what you had said I could not expect it. My Sch. has more than doubled this week and I am sure will double again, and that soon. Miss Peck has gone to board with a colored family much against my wishes. She could not board with the family in Whi. I was board ing but, could have boarded at a little distance from here and almost as near the school. But she has gone there from choice, and believing she can thus do more good. I think she is mistaken. The whites despise her. She has shut her self out from all intercourse with them. I feel troubled about it. I could not live so - and I think you will agree with me in regard to the amount of good she can do - I write asking your advice. Another important matter has arisin, one
