Mrs. Buckley
Supt. Education
Dear Friend
I have been Stationed here for Some time in the Revenue Service and have had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Mutch'es School of Freedmen children and am compelled to say that I was astonished to hear them read and see with what perfect ease they learn to write and must say that Mr. Mutch is an able and very efficient teacher - just the man for this place. I have heard of Several Schools in the county Some of them are doing badly and need such a man as Mutch to Stir them up. do not think me dictating but if a County Superintendent can be appointed to visit all the schools I would Suggest Mr. Mutch as the best man in the county for that business. I think it is needed. And he is worthy. Resp &c
