Dear Sir,
The warm weather as well as the disagreable locality of the School house have rendered it quiet impossible for the teachers to continue the School at this place longer than the 15th inst. Mrs. Hopson and Miss Phelps have been expecting the Cleveland Freedmen Aid association to send them transportation money, but today they were informed that said association would not be able to furnish the teachers the desired assistance and referred them to you to see if you could in any way furnish transportation or advance them money to pay for the same, which seems their only chang to go north; the ladies will be ready to start as soon as school closes and are very anxious that you reply at once and I have assured them that you will do all that is possible and without delay.
I am Sir
Very Respectfully
Your obd't serv't
