My Dear Sir:

I have the honor to inclose for your examination a memorandum of the expenses which I incurred, to put the house in order for leasing in it. It dont seem just that I should hear bear this expense myself, nor that the [[?]] should defray it, as what of income that has been collected from our schools has in the main been retained by Misses Gureth and Morrill in accordance, they say with your directions. They have retained the avails of their schools since the 1st of January. Mr Cravath [[strikethrough]] thereupon [[/strikethrough]] finally declined arranging for a house here and I have, therefore, born all the expenses of the establishment. The transient teachers, I have boarded at my own expense and since removing to our new house, I have boarded Misses Gureth & Morrill at the rate of $25. per month each. Excepting two chairs purchased by these ladies I have
