I have the honor and the pleasure to acknowledge the receipt of your favor of the 17th ult. with the enclosure of a copy of letter to Rev. E. M. Cravath, Secretary at Cincinnati.

The funds for Talladega are ready - the $4000 we are to furnish and Mr. Cravath will communicate with you about the titles and provide a check for the amount.

At Selma we purchased a site for a school building last April. The purchase was made on the advice of Mr. L. F. Mellen and Mr. Silsby and as I supposed with the concurrent opinion of the Bureau
