Sir:
I have the honor to forward vouchers of Le Baron & Seeliger for the month of Feby. 1867.

For two reasons I respectfully decline any further connection with these or any other vouchers relating to the business of schools.

1st. There is no apparent system or regularity about the making out of the vouchers. Sometimes they are sent here, sometimes they are sent direct to the parties concerned, sometimes they are not sent at all, but left. I suppose to be made out here.

2nd. There seems to be no certainty as to the time of payment of these school vouchers. The result is that I am inexpressibly annoyed by parties running to me about their money, to whom I can only make answer that their vouchers have been sent on and that I supposed everything is all right. This is, however, a very poor substitute for the money.

I expected when I agreed to assume this business a system in forwarding accounts and certainly in payment. I do not wish to be involved in any responsibility not resting
