2d. So much abt. rents - Now about the money for School House - I am afraid there is a misunderstanding about this $350.-

By reference to my letter of Dec 24, 66 & Jany 2, 1867 addressed to Gen. Swayne you will see that an application was formally made for $222.90 - (the particular items all stated in detail) expended in the removal & re-erection of the school house which was burned at Stevenson in October - & the statement also made that we thought we were equally entitled to the original amt. paid the U.S. $250. for the building
