Orcutt, there was plenty of time, but we had no knowledge of the Order.

Though the most vigorous canvass for funds is now going on in the city, it is doubtful whether, with the present stagnation of business and an over-drawn Treasury, the Com'n will be able to do more than to meet its present obligations.

The uniform kindness you have shown to the teachers and readiness to aid the Com'n in every possible way, are gratefully appreciated.

I am Sir,
Very respectfully yours
J.S. Talcott,
Asst. Sec C.F.C
