& there seemed no time to wait to procure transportation for him. I hope this however will make no difficulty in the way of its being repaid. I regard him, as I have told you one or twice before as one of our very best men.  Indeed I think quite the best & likely to do a grand work in & about Florence this winter.  If he can get the Baptist Ch fixed up I shall be surprised if he does not have 350 children in school.  We expect to have four 4 teachers there this winter & if we can raise the means, we shall try to get Waring to organize one or two more in the County.
