social standing & position will give them influence.  I do not think the gentlemen here who have the control of the funds will go into the matter.  They are not limited in regard to place or time as to the disposal of the fund & their only desire is that it go to the best interests of the colored people.  They will not force the institution upon any community.  Part of it has already gone to other institutions & to help build churches & school houses but to some of us it has seemed desirable that a large part of the fund would be well applied perhaps better than in any other way, to build up a permanent institution.  Possibly I may write again after hearing from Mr Mitchell.
