But he is extremely anxious for positive authority from you to go on & repair the Baptist Church for his second school room. He has recovered enough to start one school, but cannot organize the other without an additional room. I am afraid the $100. he asks for will not be enough & hope you will be able to do what he may need in this direction. I still look on it as the most hopeful & promising of our fields of operation. If we succeed in getting the teacher spoken of, I shall feel greatly disappointed if we do not hear good results form Florence before many months.
Much obliged for the vouchers for the $50. rent to June 23. I have sent them to Gen. Callis as desired by you. I hope the vouchers for the $50. rent to Sept 23, will be forthcoming at your earliest convenience.
