Dear Sir

Yours of the 31. Oct. just rec'd. The last letter rec'd from you, say Oct. 8. contained the vouchers for rent up to June 23. $50. Those, as you directed, I sent to Gen. Callis - There is also due us $50. add'l. for rent of July, Aug, Sept. $50.- or $16.67 per month.

Poor Waring says he has not heard from you about the repairs for that Baptist Ch where they wish to have the second school. He says you told him you would allow him $100. towards it. The people are too utterly poor to raise it themselves & yet the winter is hastening on & it is uninhabitable as it is - He only wants for the written order to go ahead. He is over crowded now where he is & we are sending his brother to help him which with our other engagements, is more than we thought we could undertake - But I cant bear to lose the the time of such men willing to go on such a salary - If you can let them
